What gets sent to xAI (quote generation)
- The text description you type into the AI quote builder
- The photo you attach to the AI quote builder, if any
- Your industry (e.g. "contractor", "landscaping") so the model can tailor categories
- No name, email, phone, address, or other PII unless you include it in the description
xAI's data handling
- Under xAI's Enterprise Terms, xAI does not use User Content submitted via its API to train its foundation models
- xAI acts as a data processor under its Data Processing Addendum; xAI's consumer Privacy Policy does not apply to API data
- Unless Zero Data Retention (an enterprise option) is enabled, xAI may retain API request data and derive de-identified, aggregated data to operate and improve its services
- xAI's API data terms: x.ai/legal/terms-of-service-enterprise and x.ai/legal/data-processing-addendum
What Tazzify stores
- An aggregated daily request count per user (used to enforce the 20-requests/day Premium limit)
- The line items you choose to save into a quote — those become a normal quote like any manual entry
- We do not store the original AI prompt or photo on our servers after the response is returned
Your control
- AI is opt-in. The toggle is at Settings → Privacy → AI Processing
- You can turn it off at any time. Existing AI-drafted line items already saved into a quote remain — they are now ordinary quote data
- Turning it off blocks any future call to the Grok API from your account
The AI support voice agent
When you call our support line, an AI voice agent answers. It is not a person. The agent tells you it is an AI and that the call is recorded before the conversation starts, and it hands off to a human when it cannot resolve your question.
- What it receives: the audio of your call and, so it can help you, the fact that you are a Tazzify account holder and your plan
- The audio is streamed to xAI's realtime API to produce the agent's replies and a written transcript. xAI also provisions the phone number and bridges the call; its underlying carriage and real-time media providers may include Twilio and LiveKit (see /subprocessors)
- Calls are recorded and transcribed, and kept for 30 days before deletion — deletion requests and your other choices are in Section 10 of the Privacy Policy
- We do not create a voiceprint and we do not use voice recognition to identify or authenticate you
- Call audio and transcripts are not used to train xAI's foundation models
- The agent cannot take payment details. Never read a card number or CVV to it — all payments go through Stripe inside the app
Prefer not to talk to an AI, or not to be recorded? Email support@tazzify.com. It reaches the same team, it is never recorded, and it is not a lesser channel.
Liability
AI output is an estimate, not professional advice. Building codes, permit requirements, materials specs, labor rates, and safety considerations vary by jurisdiction and project. You are responsible for reviewing every AI-drafted line item before sending the quote to a client. Tazzify is not liable for AI-generated content used without review. The same applies to the support voice agent: its answers describe how the product works and are not legal, tax, or professional advice.
